Human and comparative history of climate develops the history of climate from the Little Ice Age (LIA) that started from the beginning of the 14th century, until the time in which we live. The meteorological fluctuations are very important for history when it shows the way in which some climatic phenomena (like rain, droughts, storms and canicules) caused long famines, bad harvests, and in some cases, epidemics that had an impact on society for centuries, influencing many of the events that shaped its future.
