Greek Wisdom Literature in Arabic Translation: A Study of the Graeco-Arabic Gnomologia

Parallel versions from closely related gnomologia have been collated and noted in the apparatus. In the next section, a commentary on each individual saying and parallel versions in a large number of Arabic texts, both published and manuscript, are noted and discussed.
