Finding the Wild West: The Great Plains: Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, and the Dakotas

While there are assorted storytelling guidebooks related to various categories of Wild West-related historic sites (the Oregon Trail, Custer, the Indian wars in general, ghost towns, etc.) there is no one-stop-shopping spot for ALL categories of Wild West-related historic sites. The book would begin with a chapter-length overview of the Wild West, defining the geographic area covered in the book. Some view the West as anything west of the Mississippi, but most of Arkansas and Louisiana are much more Southern in flavor than Western. Even East Texas is more Southern than Western. Still, some places in those areas will be listed. Organizationally, the sites would be broken down by state, county and city/town.
