The declared goal of German integration policy is to ensure that people with an immigration background participate in all key areas of society in an equitable manner. This goal is particularly important for younger generations, since the proportion of people with a migration background in younger population groups will increase, making youth and family policy in Germany a key area of ​​action. Because despite the same motivation of young people with a migration background and a high educational orientation of the parents, there are fewer opportunities for social participation than Germans. This volume presents the current situation. Various contributions show how parents can be strengthened in the integration process regardless of their origin, education and social status and how they can support their children. How the resources and potential of young people with a migration background can be recognized and how one can promote their participation in society is illustrated in the last part with concrete measures and programs.
