Of the eleven papers only one, the second, is otherwise than Pauline in its subject-matter, and nos. 4 to 7 provide a most valuable supplement to any commentary on Romans. No. 8 analyses the Kenosis passage in Philippians, and the last expounds I Corinthians 13. This is high-level preachers' nourishment, the kind of searching stuff which helps preaching to be preaching rather than casual journalism. Tough, but immensely worth while
