Since the euro crisis, the European Central Bank has increasingly been perceived as a political player. It now also wants to play a role in fighting climate change. But what is actually covered by its mandate? What are its monetary policy instruments and how can they be distinguished from one another? In this work, the author's objective is to provide answers to these and other questions.
