Cholera and Diarrhoeal diseases continue to be a scourge of mankind, especially in the developing countries. One of the successful approaches to the control of diarrhoeal diseases is the use of mass vaccinations, but there are uncertainties about the effectiveness of old vaccines. Unfortunately, these vaccines have limited applications as the organism changes its character occasionally, rendering the vaccine ineffective.
