This volume results in part from the "Litteratures d'education au XVIII siecle" colloquium, organised in March 2012 at the University of Augsburg in Germany. The educational literature of the Enlightenment testifies to the diversification of transmitted knowledge as well as the democratisation of education in the eighteenth century.
