Debates and Controversies in Economic History: A-Sessions. Proceedings Tenth International Economic History Congress Leuven, August 1990

The International Economich History Association, when organizing its world congresses, tries to take account in the programme of the diverse aspects of the discipline. Economich history is, of course, a branch of the arts studies, but it also has many affinities to the social sciences, which are everpresent in the themes and methodological discussions at the congresses. The Tenth World Congress, to be held at Leuven, is no exception to this long tradition. The congress will feature over 70 sessions on a range of topics in economic and social history whose subjects together span millennia in time and most of the world in space.
