Daisy Higgins and the Disco Disaster
Synopsis
Daisy Higgins isn't a hero-she's twelve, stuck in a gloomy seaside town and cursed with the world's most inconvenient superpower: three-day-ahead dreams of petty disasters. When a vivid nightmare shows her skidding through a neon-orange dust cloud, toppling a refreshment table and becoming "The Squash Girl" at the Autumn Disco, Daisy has seventy-two hours to stop the embarrassment from happening.
With the help of Leo, an anxious tactical mastermind who treats every sticky situation like a national emergency, Daisy tries to rewrite fate. They banish the squash, hunt for ultra-grip footwear, infiltrate PTA supply caches, and accidentally build an even nastier trap than the one they were trying to avoid. As every attempt to prevent the disaster backfires, Daisy discovers the terrible truth: her meddling might be what makes the prophecy come true.
Funny, warm, and briskly plotted, this is the story of a girl who learns that knowing the future is less about control and more about how you choose to move through it.
