Martin Duffy has written several books on Irish social and family history. But with DAD comes a different perspective: the family emotional history. This book traces a line from Martin's paternal grandfather, to his father, to himself, to his son and his grandson. Not from the perspective of facts and dates, but from that of generational trauma. This book is a story of tragedies lived and loss endured: and how, or if, these men made peace with themselves and their wounds.
