Synopsis

Between 1835 and 1839, Vigny exchanged letters with Berlioz, Sainte-Beuve, Mickiewicz, and Marie d'Agoult. He evoked the condition of the writer and the crisis in publishing, and shared his impressions of his travels in England. The letters also depict the death of his mother and the rupture with Marie Dorval.
