The author describes the actual context of clinical social work with Latinos in New York, describing the principal areas of the professional practice and the needed education required to practice this specialty. The main points of this personal exploration rest in a reflection that pretends to explain the advantages of being bilingual and multicultural. Finally, recommendation and suggestions will be made for the Latin American Social Work movement that has been growing up for the last several years.
