Can I Have Some?

Can I Have Some? is one of three titles written by Miriam Moss for the Key Skills (High Frequency Words) strand of Cambridge Reading. This series of three also includes AmI a Cat? and One Day It Was Wet. The stories centre around brother and sister, Max and Milly, their Mum and Dad, and assorted pets. In Can I Have Some?, Max and Mum are busy in the kitchen, which arouses considerable curiosity amongst the other members of the family. The language is simple with repetition of high frequency words - ideal for young readers in the Foundation stage (aged 4). The High Frequency Words strand comprises 20 storybooks and 20 non-fiction books providing a fresh approach to learning high frequency words by using real texts. The books provide a systematic introduction and reinforcement of all the NLS words. This book is also available in a pack of six.
