This is Zephyr's second Serbian title, and follows the significant success of our first, Directions for Use, by Ana Ristoric, which was short-listed for the 2018 National Book Critics Circle Award, the National Translation Award, and the Best Translated Book Award;

One of Knezevic's short stories represented Serbia in the 2012 Best European Fiction anthology (Dalkey Archives Press), and her poems were included in the 2016 collection, Cat Painters: An Anthology of Contemporary Serbian Poetry, ed. Obradovic and Djuric, and the 2008 collection, New European Poets, ed. Miller and Prufer;

Some of the poems deal with contemporary political and social issues, including refugees, colonialism, and feminism;

An English translation of Knezevic's novel, Ekaterini was published in 2013 and won the Best Balkans Book award;

Few Serbian women poets and writers are known outside Serbia; poetry lovers, feminists, specialists in women's and gender studies, Slavists, and comparative literature scholars and students will find her work of great interest.
