Bomber Command

The Imperial War Museum holds approximately 11 million photographs in its archives,
covering the causes, course and consequences of modern conflict from the First World War
to the present day. Off ering a snapshot into this unique collection, Bomber Command
showcases 50 iconic photographs of the aircraft and crew that lead Britain and its Allies to
victory during one of the longest, most expensive and controversial of the Allied campaigns
during the Second World War. This vivid collection of photographs traces Bomber
Command through each stage of its development and brings to life the experiences of
those both in the air and on the ground.
