Synopsis
This book is a bold and confrontational critique of how society remembers, forgets, describes and defines what it means to be Black and how Black History should be celebrated: as an addition to American history rather than part of the core learning of it.
That's okay because my stance is there is no such thing as a Black or White person: we are spiritual beings in physical bodies having an earthly experience living in different cultural groups.
As a society, we can avoid packaging Black history into one month; allowing institutions to appear supportive while avoiding deeper engagement the rest of the year.
Don't fall for it, fellow human. Celebrate humanity not skin color!
