Seven Smith walked into court expecting the usual: a judge, a fair ruling, and a word or two with her thieving aunt.

Right in the middle of her meltdown, the lights blow, and the whole courtroom freezes like somebody hit the pause button on reality. Seven doesn't know what's happening, but clearly it's above her pay grade.

Before she can freak out properly, a secret agency drops in, grabs her, and disappears.

Now Seven's being trained by Agent Halo, a calm, too-handsome handler who definitely knows more than he says. She's followed everywhere by a silent warrior who looks like a meteor, and her newest "friend" is a creature that talks telepathically.
