Be Safe I Love You

Lauren Clay has returned safely from a tour of duty in Iraq and is home in time to spend Christmas with her father and her adored younger brother, Danny, whom she has looked out for since her mother left them years before. But as she reconnects with her small-town life, it is increasingly apparent that all is not well. On a trip with Danny upstate, she begins to teach her brother the survival skills she believes he will need when she is no longer able to take care of him. And in the meantime, an army psychologist, desperate to reach Lauren, makes increasingly frantic calls to her father. Where exactly does Lauren think she is going, and what happened in Iraq to set her on this path?
