Back to the Garden: The Way We Were!
Synopsis
Back to the Garden presents the Bible as one unified story of God restoring what was lost in Eden. In the beginning, humanity lived in direct relationship with God-walking with Him, hearing His voice, and living under His authority. The fall was not just about sin, but about separation, lost access, and broken fellowship. From Genesis onward, God's consistent desire is revealed: to bring humanity back into covenant relationship, presence, and purpose.
Through the law, the prophets, the tabernacle, the temple, and ultimately Jesus Christ, Scripture shows God progressively reopening the way back to Himself. Jesus is presented as the last Adam, restoring what the first Adam lost-access to God, dominion under God, and life through obedience. The book concludes in Revelation where Eden is fully restored: the tree of life returns, God dwells with man again, and there is no more curse. Back to the Garden reveals that redemption is not about escaping earth, but about God restoring His dwelling with humanity, just as it was in the beginning.
