Avatars d'Operas: Parodies Et Circulation Des Airs Chantes Sur Les Scenes Parisiennes (1672-1745)

From the very beginnings of French opera, parodies feature on Parisian stages, indicating the popularity of certain melodies and works. The study of the reception and diffusion of operas through their parodies provides the basis for a history of taste and allows us to see the lyric spectacle in a new light. The thesis which this work is based on was awarded the Prix Louis-Forest from the Chancellerie des universites de Paris.
