Herbert Frost, bis zu seiner Emeritierung im Jahre 1986 Inhaber eines Extraordinariats fur Kirchenrecht, Allgemeine Staatslehre und Rechtsphilosophie an der dortigen Rechtswissenschaftlichen Fakultat. Mit ihm verliert vor allem die evangelische Kirchenrechtswissenschaft einen hochgeschatzten Forscher und akademischen Lehrer, stand doch - wie selten sonst - die Pflege des evangelischen Kirchenrechts in seinen historischen und aktuellen Bezugen im Mittelpunkt dieses Gelehrtenlebens.
