Bathrooms are very important to people with Crohn's disease, since needing to go can happen very quickly and frequently. Public restrooms are often not available in enough neighborhoods in the United States. Bathroom access cards called "I Can't Wait" cards are available through the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation for people who need to use a bathroom immediately.
