Animal Earrings

When Codi wears those old earrings and then touches animals she can see and smell and feel what they do. That sounds great, but think about where dogs put their noses. Not cool. And the cold fear Codi felt in her dog when the ranger came by the ranch wasn't cool either, it was scary. Why would Codi's dog be so afraid of the ranger? Codi meant to find out, even if she had to use the cat.
