Synopsis

This project is devoted to the analysis and design of a G+10 storey reinforced concrete high-rise building with the help of ETABS. The aim is to test the structural behaviour at different loading conditions such as dead load, live load, wind load and seismic forces as per applicable Indian Standards. ETABS creates a three-dimensional model of the building with the application of material properties, member size and boundary conditions.Linear static and dynamic analysis is conducted to identify important parameters like bending moments, shear forces, axial forces and storey displacements. Attention is paid to the resistance to lateral loads and the stability of the structure. The design of structural elements such as beams, columns, slabs, and foundations is undertaken based on the results of the analysis to provide a design that is safe, serviceable, and economical. The research gives emphasis on the effectiveness of ETABS in simplifying intricate calculations and optimising the structural design. It also reveals the significance of the correct modelling and compliance with design code towards high-rise buildings that were reliable and cost-effective.
