An Untethered Life

When twenty-year-old Sebastian Kirkland elaborately orchestrates his worldly extraction, his fifteen-year-old sister Lily is raw with confusion and anger incapable of understanding why the brother she adored abandoned her. Lily discovers that Bass has left behind a journal for her eyes only. In the comfort of the secret sanctuary that she shared with her brother, she dives into the journal, reliving childhood memories and getting a glimpse of the pain that had suffocated her brother since childhood and the subtle mistreatment that he had stoically endured. Ultimately, Lily finds a beautiful way to come to terms with her brother's death proving that regardless of a life's duration or intensity, its presence remains significant long after it is extinguished.
