A Comparative Study of the Qur'anic Concept of Human Creation: DE

This book explores the relationship between the Qur'anic description of human creation and the findings of modern genetic science, aiming to identify areas of convergence, divergence, and interpretive possibility. The Qur'an presents human creation as a purposeful, staged process originating from a basic substance (often described as clay) and developing through distinct embryological phases such as nutfah (drop), 'alaqah (clinging form), and mudghah (chewed-like substance). The research highlights that the Qur'an emphasizes purpose, divine will, and moral dimensions of creation, whereas genetic science focuses on material processes and mechanisms. Rather than viewing the two as contradictory, the study argues for a complementary approach-where the Qur'an provides metaphysical insight and ethical guidance, and science offers detailed explanations of physical processes.
